We were intending to use our coupons for Paradise Dynasty's XLBs but there was a really long queue so we decided to head over to Wisma to 'kill time'. Just so happens there was a japanese food fair going on right outside Dorothy Perkins on the first level of Wisma. We got the Kushiage & Croquette which was 3 pieces for $8 and 4 pieces for $12, buy 4 get 1 free. We got 3 pieces and the lady very nicely gave us a piece for free. :D
They were really yummy! There was chicken and onion, scallops, prawns and I can't remember the last one...
Finally got past the queue and got us a nice spot to sit as we can see the chefs in action. You can choose from 8 innovative and sumptuous flavours like black truffle, foie gras, garlic, ginseng, cheese, szechuan, crab roe and an original flavoured one. I was actually pretty excited to taste it but apprehensive as well. Believe it or not, we did not finish everything as there was another crate of original flavoured ones.
Well, it got pretty je lat after a while. I would say that I will not go back and order the flavoured ones a second time. The cheese one really tasted weird.
The pink one is the Szechuan flavoured one. It didn't taste so bad I guess but I've concluded that it's best to just stick to the original ones. We got this via a coupon deal though so it was only half price.
Had to try their la mian as well and the pork broth soup was the most amazing thing I've ever tasted. They also had a boiled egg in the huge bowl of noodles but this egg was none like any other boiled egg I've ever tasted. The egg yolk was very runny and tasted different than normal egg yolks. Will go there a second time to try their other la mians.
Paradise Dynasty is located at ION Orchard.
There is usually a queue so best to go early to grab a queue ticket first. Queue numbers are also not in order as I believe they go by the number of pax available in the seating area.
