Korean food in Shanghai

Starting this post off with a cup of CoCo bubble tea which is very popular in Shanghai. During winter, it's seriously amazing to have a hot bubble tea drink, really warms you up.

So we met two of J's Singaporean friends he met during exchange at Fu Dan University as well. I think they were two years younger than us and one of them is actually my dance junior from Nanyang. Small world! I didn't exactly recognise her but she came up to J's apartment one night to pass him his Christmas exchange gift and asked me if I was from NY. Amazing how fast we all grow up.

Here's us in front of the Korean restaurant. It was packed that night so we had to wait in line to get a table.

Apparently, many Koreans staying in Shanghai or around the area come here for their Korean BBQ. The meat was marinated really well and were extremely juicy which explains why this place is always packed as well.

Look at the yummy meat on the grill!

We ordered a bowl of Korean tofu soup and it was AMAZING. The one I had in Korea SUCKED. This had egg yolks mixed inside with so many other ingredients along with the tofu of course. It was extremely rich as well and slightly spicy and omg, it was really good.

We were such greedy monsters, we even went for some fried Korean chicken at a Korean bar joint after dinner. The place plays Korean pop songs and it was very cosy and the fried chicken was really good!

Btw, food delivery is very popular amongst students in Shanghai or in China for the matter of fact. I heard from the girls that this hole in the fence was specially MADE so that it is easier for students to collect their delivery and they didn't had to walk all the way to the entrance. Wow. An entire 'hole in the fence' made specially for food delivery. Food must be extremely important in Shanghai lol.
