Prive

ONE DRIZZLING AFTERNOON

Dropped by Prive with Char for brunch. This has been one of the places on my list that I've been wanting to visit for years but haven't found the right time to go for it. Couldn't have found a better time for it. (: The place was pretty crowded when we got there. We were initially shown a seat indoors but managed to switch to a table outdoors immediately after they have cleared the table on the other side of the glass panel. Lucky us.

Homestyle Pancakes $13
Fluffy pancake stack served with fresh strawberries, bananas, honeycomb, whipped cream & drizzled with maple syrup

The pancakes were so fluffy and I love maple syrup on my pancakes. You just can't go wrong with such a combination. The fruits that accompanied the pancakes were really sweet as well, making it twice the more delightful.

Prive's Ultimate Brekkie $20
2 eggs (poached), English breakfast pork sausage, maple-roasted bacon, roasted Roma tomato, sauteed button mushrooms, crispy hashbrown & wholemeal toast

Everything on this platter was just absolutely delicious and lip-smacking good. I can't think of another word to describe it. The bacon was crisp and the mushrooms were sauteed really well with butter. (I need to learn how to cook my mushrooms in this manner) The salad was great and everything was just perfect paired together. No wonder they call it the 'Ultimate Brekkie'.

Very filling so I highly recommend this if you're feeling a little hungrier than usual.

Cappuccino $5

Prive is located on Keppel Island, Singapore's only private island, so it's best to drive in. If not, it's about a 15min walk from Harbourfront MRT station. Makes for a great brunch setting especially along the waterfront.

20 photos in my life

#1. Tried out the famous hand-drip coffee at Hoshino Coffee one lazy afternoon before catching Pitch Perfect. It was sucha great feel good movie by the way even though storyline was kinda 'meh'. Think I'll somehow always prefer Espresso-brewed coffees. Packs more punch in a sip.

#2. Pluck Reunion with Dea, Wendy and Shaun at Keong Saik Snacks.

#3. Classic photo of us, crazy Instagrammers.

#4. Chillaxed at The Pigeonhole and grabbed a cup of cap. before heading to Shaw for a midnight movie - To Rome with Love. (worst experience I've had watching a movie at Shaw. Our movie was screened half an hour late because the guy who was supposed to play the movie film fell asleep. In a locked room. The ticketing people had to knock on the door for half an hour. FacePalm. AND THEN, the sound system was so bad, half the theatre left 10 minutes into the show. failwhale)

#5. Received a flower balloon from J.

#6. Received a HUGE flower bouquet from my artiste and lugged it to MBS lol

#7. Suntanned at MBS Skypark with Char after heading out at 645am to Marina Mandarin to do an artiste send-off. Walked back to the hotel with soy bean milk for our breakfast

#8. Poolside brunch of burgers and sandwiches

#9. A few shades darker after a good shower and doing a second send-off

#10. A tale of overdosing on free venti-sized Toffee-nut Latte

#11. Had my first liu sha bao at Swee Choon. Noms!

#12. Mustafa adventures

#13. Char as a Masterchef

#14. The afternoon I made lunch - Coq Au Vin, Swedish meatballs and scrambled eggs in place of a super fail sauce

#15. Super awesome Potato Gratin. I'm not exaggerating.

#16. Supposed to go climb hill, but ended up pouring so we had coffee and tea at my place instead whilst watching SYTYCD.

#17. Finally tried the curry from Coco Ichibanya! So good.
