Beauty | September Favourites - Model's Own Indian Ocean, Maybelline's Baby Lips Glow, MAC's Immortal Flower Blush

Here are my picks and favourites for the month of September.

This month, I've been wearing 2 nail polish shades together. The first one is by Model's Own in the shade Indian Ocean. It has a sheer baby blue base with duochrome shimmer in colours ranging from gold to bright pink. As you know, I'm obsessed with duochrome shades and I absolutely fell in love with this. You can choose to wear it on its own (which I did), or you could layer it over a clear base of your choice. I'm not sure if this will peek through if you layer it over black but I'm sure it'll look extremely pretty if it does. Sort of like a cosmic effect to your nails.

The second one is by OPI. It is in the shade I Don't Give a Rotterdam! It is a pretty purplish shade with LOTS of shimmer in it. This shade is so gorgeous although at certain angles, it does appear to look grey instead of a purple shade. In fact, it does resemble a dark periwinkle shade. It looks amazing in the bottle itself as well as on the fingers. If you're into purple nail polishes and shimmer, you should check out this shade as it will be totally up your alley I'm sure.

Model's Own Indian Ocean on my middle finger and ring finger and OPI's I Don't Give a Rotterdam! on the rest. I feel like these 2 shades look great paired up together. Gives your fingers an interesting look to it.

I'm pretty obsessed with this shade. I think it's absolutely gorgeous and sometimes when I get bored on bus rides, I start staring at my nails cos they gleam and change color in the light.

Unfortunately, this is a UK brand so if you are living in Singapore and wanna get your hands on one, you might have to order it via a UK website and have it shipped to you. I had a kind friend who did a Boots haul for me whilst he was in London. Came back with a bunch of makeup stash for me including Model's Own, Barry M and SLEEK! So exciting (: I believe I had to pay about S$10 for a bottle so it was pretty value for money if you ask me. I like that it has a white cap and a very simple and chic packaging to it. It's non odd-shape makes it easy for storage as well.

In the past month, I have been religiously using this blush Immortal Flower by MAC for the entire month of September I would say, except for a day or two whereby I switched it up for something else. Otherwise, this is the perfect coral peachy shade to have in your blush collection. It is peachy in the pan but on the face, it shows up as a coral. It is quite pigmented and the blush stays on really well the entire day. It doesn't wear off easily and it really does complement many skintones.

This blush gives you a very nice, healthy glow to your face and is extremely easy to wear. Doesn't really require much effort as you can just sweep it across your cheeks without having to worry that too there is too much product on your face. I like that it gives you more of a matte finish although it's stated on the product description that it is a Satin finish.

Immortal Flower came out in the Tres Cheek blush collection by MAC and I think they have made it a permanent product that you could grab from shelves.

My next big favourite of the month would have to be Maybelline's Baby Lips Glow in Mixed Berry. I think there were two Baby Lips Glow and I'm quite sure the other one was also in Mixed Berry. They had slightly different packaging probably due to the different color stain it produces.

This lip balm has been a god sent this month and I've been using it everyday without fail. It gives your lips a slight pinky glow to it whilst keeping them moisturized. It's a win-win situation so it's hard to find faults with this product. What can I say? I love it. I would definitely repurchase this. I also have the Baby Lips in Mango flavour and it tastes SO GOOD although those have no color staining qualities to it.

You can get Maybelline's Baby Lips Glow from any Watsons and it retails for about S$6? I highly recommend this if you're constantly-on-the-go and need a lipbalm to keep your lips moisturize all the time. Men should use them too! That'll be funny.

Till next month!
